Iquique ....!!!

"Ladies and gentlemen come to tell what history
not want to remember ......"

Today marks 100 years of the slaughter of 3,600 human beings working in the nitrate. They were killed not only the workers but their families including women and children.

Pedro Montt Montt is the political leader and intellectual of the killing of the nitrate workers demanded only the minimum conditions of employment on December 21, 1907.

gobiermo was Minister in the Balmaceda, and betraying his confidence was passed by the coup. It is recalled that Balmaceda had decided to legislate to change the relationship that existed the nitrate companies in British hands and encourage the Chilean state.

After the civil war in 1891, Montt was appointed Minister Plenipotentiary to Washington, reaching the Presidency of the Republic in the month of September 1906.

Through its Interior Minister Rafael Sotomayor gave precise instructions on how to deal with the workers. Who gave the order to fire in the Santa Maria School was General Roberto Silva Renard .....

Lest we forget !!!!!!

My respects to all the martyrs ... really .... my soul is desolate as many penalties, so many horrors and nothing changes !!!!!!!

As stated in the cantata that Luis Advis so masterfully composed: "Now that you heard the story being told, are not sitting there thinking it over, is Chile a country so long a thousand things can happen, if not resolved to prepare us to fight, we just reasons, why we fight, our hands are hard to win .... we have to unite as brothers ...... no one will defeat us if they want to enslave
never be able to achieve .....!!!!!!! !
